VLC 1.2 Installation:

To install VLC 1.2 on Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric ocelot, open the terminal and run this sequence of commands:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:videolan/master-daily

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install vlc
